Snap, Share and Celebrate the Season: Join Our Social Media Holiday Hunt!

We all have our favorite holiday traditions – maybe for you it’s cooking with the kids, snuggling up to watch classic Christmas movies or singing seasonal tunes together. This year, spruce up your holiday tradition hit list during your stay at Paradise Resort in Myrtle Beach. Join in a Holiday Hunt that will be fun for the whole family – you might just stumble upon a new favorite holiday tradition! The comfortable, contemporary oceanfront accommodations at Paradise Resort put all of the Grand Strand’s seasonal events within reach. Here, you are perfectly positioned to participate in all of the area’s holiday festivities. As you explore, be sure to take along your smartphone and share the special moments you and your family have captured. For the Holiday Hunt, all you have to do is follow these easy steps: Accomplish Holiday Hunt activities and snap some shots. Upload your images to Instagram and Facebook. Tag @paradiseresortmb on Instagram or ‪@TheParadiseResort on Facebook. Use the hashtag #ParadiseHolidayHunt. Pic 1 – Holiday Beach Message: To begin your Holiday Hunt, you only have to travel a few steps from your room at Paradise Resort to the Atlantic shoreline! Write a giant holiday message in the sand behind Paradise Resort – maybe something like “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Williams family!” You can get as creative as you want. Stick drawings, seashell outlines – the more innovative, the better! Make sure your message is large enough for Santa to see as he flies over Myrtle Beach in his sleigh. Once your family’s merry message is captured on camera, post a photo of it on social media with the appropriate tag and hashtag! Pic 2 – Holiday Lights: As the Christmas season arrives, the Grand Strand transforms into a mild-temperature version of a winter wonderland. Check out one of the Myrtle Beach area’s many winter festivals and holiday exhibitions, and take a photo with your favorite light display. One place to accomplish this list item is at Brookgreen Gardens’ Nights of a Thousand Candles. Experience an entirely unique event as the sculpture gardens are illuminated with more than 5,000 hand-lit candles and countless strands of twinkling lights. This favorite area tradition runs through December 17th and is a can’t-miss item on your vacation itinerary. Another alternative is to drive through a holiday lights experience in North Myrtle Beach. The Great Christmas Light Show features over 500 magical light displays (some up to 55 feet tall) and a section of lights synchronized with holiday music. Visit any day through December 31st, and don’t forget to take a picture and post it! Pic 3 – Holiday Ornament: While you’re out and about enjoying the Christmas lights, it’s likely that there is an opulently decorated Christmas tree somewhere in the vicinity. After scoping it out, select an ornament on the tree that’s especially eye-catching, and take a photo of it. Or, tackle this mission with a DIY approach and have an arts and crafts session with the kids to create your own holiday ornaments. Consider making a mini beach scene in a plastic or glass bulb with sand straight from Myrtle Beach – and be sure to share your one-of-a-kind ornament on Facebook and Instagram. Pic 4 – Photo With Santa: Your fourth Holiday Hunt mission is to get a photo with Santa Claus. Before his annual trek around the globe, Saint Nick will be enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and warmer weather of the Myrtle Beach area. During your stay at Paradise Resort, there are many opportunities to get your photo made. Kris Kringle himself will be making several appearances at Santa’s Village at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex through the end of December, at Coastal Grand Mall through Christmas Eve, and at Bass Pro Shops through December 24. Pic 5 – Family Greeting Card: The last assignment on your Holiday Hunt checklist is perhaps the most meaningful. We encourage you to take a family photo worthy of your holiday greeting card and post it online. From the Christmas tree in Barefoot Landing, to the elevated views at the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, to the beach at sunset – there are plenty of worthy backdrops for your family photo. Whatever you decide, you’ll look back at the photo years from now and remember all the wonderful memories your family made on your winter vacation at Paradise Resort. Sure enough, the Myrtle Beach area provides an easily accessible escape from the winter weather without having to miss out on the holiday cheer, and Paradise Resort puts you right in the heart of the action. We look forward to seeing all of your Holiday Hunt images flood our social media feeds, and your friends back at home will love seeing what a holiday getaway on the Grand Strand looks like! We hope you enjoy experiencing new traditions on the Holiday Hunt, and we thank you for choosing Paradise Resort as your home for the holidays.
