Look out for live concerts, food vendors, celebrations and of course fireworks to top most of the events.  Check out the listing below.

* Military Appreciation Days (through May 31): Myrtle Beach goes all out to say thanks to our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice. Festivities include the Military Appreciation Days Parade & Picnic at The Market Common on Saturday, May 27, as well as the Veterans March on Ocean Boulevard and the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Monday, May 29.

* Summer Nights at Broadway (June 6-Sept. 4): Broadway at the Beach is the place to be this summer for free concerts, fireworks and other family entertainment. Held every evening during the summer months, this festival offers fireworks on most Tuesdays and Fridays, and live music and entertainers, such as comedians, jugglers and dancers, nightly on the main stage.

* Carolina Country Music Fest (June 8-11): The concert event of the summer has not sold out yet, but this year's lineup is sure to pack the downtown oceanfront with revelers. Headlined by country music superstars Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Darius Rucker, the CCMF will feature more than 30 bands during the three-day party. The main stage, one of three on the festival grounds, has the Atlantic Ocean as its backdrop.

* Hot Summer Nights Festival (June 12-Sept. 4): Head down the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for a front-row seat to nightly entertainment for the whole family. Among the highlights are the Kids Carnival (Mondays), fireworks (Wednesdays) and live music six nights a week. The entertainment takes place on the main stage at Plyler Park, while the fireworks are launched from the Second Avenue Pier and can be witnessed from virtually any point along the beach.

* Conway Riverfest (July 1): See a different side of the Grand Strand in historic downtown Conway with an all-day bash on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Events include a golf-cart parade, an artisans’ market and a Kids Zone play park. The main stage features live music throughout the day, headlined by soul sensation Marc Broussard at 8 p.m., followed by a big fireworks show to cap the evening. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and over (free for kids 12 and under), and the festivities run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

* Fourth of July Fireworks (July 4): Uncle Sam's birthday is a blast in Myrtle Beach — quite literally. Although there is no centralized celebration, fireworks shows take place at various points along the Grand Strand. Guests at The Breakers Resort are within a couple miles of the two biggest pyrotechnics displays — one on the oceanfront launched from the Second Avenue Pier, and another at Broadway at the Beach. Other fireworks shows are set for Barefoot Landing and the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk.

* Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival (Sept. 1-2): For the perfect end to a great summer, check out this two-day shindig at The Market Common. This festival attracts more than 75 world-champion barbecue pitmasters competing for the coveted title. Patrons can sample some mouthwatering barbecue, as well as other culinary treats, such as chicken wings, ribs and more. Arts and crafts vendors, live music, and dancing are among the many activities on tap, in addition to a car show and craft beer event.
