Right in the middle of North Myrtle Beach, you can find the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Filled with plenty of fields for all kinds of sports such as baseball, lacrosse and soccer, as well as numerous batting cages, multiple tennis courts and various walking/biking trails, the facility offers plenty of land-based recreational activities. While these kinds of activities can typically be found in most any sports complex you visit, there is one extra section at this park that is uniquely Grand Strand – and it’s a water-sports lover’s paradise!

With its nice, wide-open waters and a group of instructors who have many years of experience under their belts, the Shark Wake Park is one of the best places in the nation to learn how to wakeboard. But the attraction’s owners decided to add another water activity to diversify its offerings. To entice visitors who love to be on the water but don’t necessarily love the fast pace of wakeboarding, the park added a huge, inflatable water park that covers a full acre of water space – providing a lot of room for fun and adventure.

You may be wondering how an inflatable water park might work. Imagine a huge obstacle course/moon bounce, one with a lot of twists and turns. Now, envision it floating on the water. Broken up into four different sections based on recommended user-experience levels, this inflatable adventure is great for people of all ages and athletic abilities. For just $25 a person, you and your whole group will be able to enjoy this fun and unique experience for 45 minutes. There are different obstacles that will have you crawling, jumping and sliding all around these crazy courses, and for the competitive types, perhaps even racing against a few of your close friends or family members!

Before booking online, there are a few guidelines that the park’s operators would like guests to be aware of. For starters, all participants need to be at least 7 years old and 45 inches tall. This is to ensure that all visitors can remain safe at the park and that kids not meeting these requirements do not get hurt, due to the attraction heights and water levels that can be found around the park. Also, when booking, you are required you to fill out a waiver stating that you agree to follow all the rules that have been put in place, just to make sure that you and the rest of the people visiting are having a great time while remaining safe.

With all the fun attractions available at Shark Wake Park’s new floating aqua park, you can have a great time visiting this thrilling and exciting new adventure area with your family and kicking up some friendly competition. And when you’re done, return to your home away from home at Ocean Reef Resort to rest up for an all-new Myrtle Beach adventure the next day!
